Agriculture

Jai Hind Agriculture Forum

For the past 20 years, Jai Hind Lok Chalwal has been actively participating in the Jai Hind People’s Movement for a Strong Village Campaign. Under this initiative, it has conducted various programs, including soil and water testing, forming farmer groups, and organizing mentoring camps with expert guidance on agriculture. The movement has also raised awareness about organic farming, encouraged the shift toward non-toxic farming practices, promoted the production of organic manure, and supported dairy and poultry businesses.

Additionally, it has implemented programs on silage production, hydroponics, mushroom farming, and vermicomposting. Jai Hind Lok Chalwal has also undertaken projects in integrated agricultural management, encompassing goat farming, poultry farming, open-field farming, polyhouse and shed-net cultivation, and beekeeping. Agricultural study tours have been organized, alongside initiatives to manage the direct sale of agricultural produce to consumers. Efforts have been made to create fodder banks in forested areas and improve the standard of living for farming families.

The campaign also includes the establishment of cold-chain setups and processing industries to provide information on various government schemes. Furthermore, the movement organizes the World Conference of Jai Hind Lok Chalwal, held annually on October 2nd.

The Jai Hind Lok Chalwal Department of Agriculture continues to advance its mission by initiating and managing a variety of agricultural projects aimed at fostering sustainable and inclusive agricultural development.
